Illinois High School Baseball - St. Charles East edges Plainfield South

In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting St. Charles East Fighting Saints baseball team scored a close 7-5 victory over the Plainfield South Cougars.
The Fighting Saints (7-6) will now prepare for their game against Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL). The Falcons enter the DuKane game with a 6-8 record. In their last game, Wheaton North held off St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL), 10-3, in a league game.
Next, the Cougars face the Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL) in a Southwest Prairie game, on Monday, April 21. Plainfield South will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Spartans enter the game with a 8-8 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Oswego (Oswego, IL).
