The Sandy Valley Cardinals overwhelmed the host Cambridge Bobcats softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals meet the Claymont Mustangs (Uhrichsville, OH) in a Inter Valley South challenge, on Monday, April 21. Sandy Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 8-6 non-league win over John Glenn (New Concord, OH).
The Bobcats (4-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Harrison Central (Cadiz, OH). The Huskies go into the non-league challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Harrison Central toppled Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH), 2-1, in a league challenge.
