The Gators go into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 13-1 league loss to Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL).

The Tigers (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodstock (Woodstock, IL). The Blue Streaks go into the non-league challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Woodstock was routed by Sandwich (Sandwich, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.
