The La Plata Warriors triumphed over the host Glen Burnie Gophers softball squad by a count of 16-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors play the Dulaney Lions (Timonium, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 19. La Plata will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 5-3 league loss to Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD).
The Gophers (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Meade (Fort Meade, MD). The Mustangs enter the Anne Arundel County challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Meade was routed by Chesapeake (Pasadena, MD), 10-0, in a league challenge.
