In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Grayling Vikings softball team scored a tight 6-1 win over the Negaunee Miners.
The Vikings (11-1) will now prepare for their match against Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI). The Chiefs come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Cheboygan was routed by St. Francis (Traverse City, MI), 7-6, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Miners confront the Clare Pioneers (Clare, MI) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 19. Negaunee will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Pioneers come into the match with a 5-0 record after their 6-1 league win over Shepherd (Shepherd, MI).
