The Greenwich Cardinals overwhelmed the host Weston Trojans softball squad by a count of 25-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals meet the St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT) in a Fairfield County challenge, on Monday, April 21. Greenwich will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cadets go into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 17-2 non-league win over Sheehan (Wallingford, CT).
The Trojans (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT). The Rebels go into the Southwest - Colonial challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, New Fairfield was routed by New Milford (New Milford, CT), 11-1, in a league challenge.
