In Saturday's non-league test, the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) softball squad overwhelmed the host Highland Park Scots (St. Paul, MN), by a count of 17-4.
Next, the Zephyrs meet the Totino-Grace Eagles (Fridley, MN) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 21. Mahtomedi will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 1-6 record after their 12-0 league loss to Champlin Park (Champlin, MN).
The Scots (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Roosevelt (Minneapolis, MN). The Teddies go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Roosevelt toppled Camden (Minneapolis, MN), 23-2, in a league test.
