The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the host Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL), observed Normal University's softball team prevail over Kaneland by a tally of 14-2.

The Pioneers (6-9) will now prepare for their bout against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Maple Leafs go into the non-league bout with a 11-5 record. In their last bout, Geneseo was routed by Rock Island (Rock Island, IL), 3-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) in a Interstate Eight bout, on Monday, April 21. Kaneland will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 15-4 non-league win over Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL).
