McCracken County Mustangs (Paducah, KY) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mercy Jaguars (Louisville, KY), 8-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, McCracken County improves its record to 20-5 on the year. The Mustangs host Community Christian (Paducah, KY) to face the Warriors in a District 2 game on Monday, April 21. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 1-1. Community Christian lost 15-14 in their recent non-league game against Mayfield (Mayfield, KY)

The Jaguars now hold a 11-7 record. They play next when they host Assumption for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 22. Mercy will face a Rockets squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY). The Rockets record now stands at 18-4.
