The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and the host Vestaburg Wolverines (Vestaburg, MI), observed Mt. Pleasant's softball team prevail over Vestaburg by a tally of 11-1.
The Oilers (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Powers Catholic (Flint, MI). The Chargers go into the Saginaw Valley bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Powers Catholic knocked off Lapeer (Lapeer, MI), 12-6, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Carson City-Crystal Eagles (Carson City, MI) in a Mid-State bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Vestaburg will attempt to advance on its 9-1 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 6-0 league loss to Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI).
