In Saturday's non-league match, the host Seneca Fighting Irish softball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Newark Norsemen.

The Fighting Irish (14-0) will now prepare for their match against Woodland (Streator, IL). The Warriors go into the Tri-County match with a 1-10 record. In their last match, Woodland was routed by Putnam County (Granville, IL), 13-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Norsemen battle the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 21. Newark will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Panthers go into the match with a 9-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Serena (Serena, IL).
