Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Iota Bulldogs (Iota, LA) and the visiting Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA), saw Iota's baseball squad edge Port Barre by a count of 9-8.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA) in a 3A District 5 battle, on Tuesday, April 5. Iota will attempt to move on its 13-1 season record.

The Red Devils now possess a 6-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Arthur for a 2A District 6 battle on Thursday, April 7. Port Barre will play a Tigers squad coming off a 18-1 non-league win over South Cameron (Creole, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 14-8.
