The Ripley Tigers baseball team (Ripley, MS), was overwhelmed 12-2 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS)
The Commodores now hold a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cleveland Central for a 5A Region 2 outing on Monday, April 4. Lafayette will face a Wolves team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS). The Wolves record now stands at 8-10.
Next, the Tigers face the South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) in a 4A Region 2 outing, on Tuesday, April 5. Ripley will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 11-8 record after their 8-6 league loss to North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS).
