California High School Baseball - Sonoma Valley nudged by Piner

The Piner Prospectors nudged the visiting Sonoma Valley Dragons baseball team by a tally of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Prospectors now hold a 2-11 record. They take the field next when they host Healdsburg for a North Bay - Redwood bout on Tuesday, April 5. Piner will face a Greyhounds team coming off a 10-4 league loss to St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 8-5.

Next, the Dragons face the Petaluma Trojans (Petaluma, CA) in a Vine Valley bout, on Wednesday, April 6. Sonoma Valley will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 5-5 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Archie Williams (San Anselmo, CA).
