The St. Francis Spartans held off the visiting St. Patrick Shamrocks volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buffalo Grove for a non-league test on Saturday, April 2. St. Francis will confront a Bison team coming off a 2-0 league win over Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL). The Bison record now stands at 5-2.
The Shamrocks (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Maine West (Des Plaines, IL). The Warriors enter the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Maine West held off Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
