The Chino Valley Cougars softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets to 5 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Chino Valley improves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Cougars travel to Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a 3A North Central game on Tuesday, April 5. The Golden Eagles come into the game with a record of 13-4. Bourgade Catholic won 2-1 in their recent league game against Wickenburg (Wickenburg, AZ)

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Show Low Cougars (Show Low, AZ) in a 3A East game, on Tuesday, April 5. Blue Ridge will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 6-7 record after their 11-6 league win over Payson (Payson, AZ).
