Bob Jones Patriots (Madison, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they host Florence for a 7A Area 8 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Bob Jones will face a Falcons squad coming off a 17-5 non-league loss to Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Falcons record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Hazel Green falls to 22-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Athens (Athens, AL) to face the Golden Eagles in a 6A Area 16 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 19-2. Athens won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Hartselle (Hartselle, AL)
