Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN) and the host Floyd Central Highlanders (Floyds Knobs, IN), witnessed Castle's softball squad tip Floyd Central by a count of 13-7.

The Knights now sport a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Evansville Harrison for a Southern Indiana match on Tuesday, April 5. Castle will face a Warriors squad coming off a 14-8 non-league win over Evansville Bosse (Evansville, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Floyd Central moves to 4-5 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN) to face the Titans in a non-league match on Saturday, April 2. The Titans go into the match with a record of 5-1. Gibson Southern lost 10-1 in their recent non-league match against Plainview (Rainsville, AL)
