Ringgold Rams (Monongahela, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Belle Vernon for a WPIAL 4A 2 challenge on Friday, April 8.

With the loss, Charleroi falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Frazier (Perryopolis, PA) to battle the Commodores in a WPIAL 2A 3 challenge on Monday, April 4. The Commodores enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
