Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Antioch for a Northern Lake County challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Grant Community will face a Sequoits squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Barrington (Barrington, IL). The Sequoits record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Herscher falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL) to face the Boilermakers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. The Boilermakers enter the challenge with a record of 7-1.
