Holbrook Roadrunners (Holbrook, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Monument Valley Mustangs (Kayenta, AZ), 15-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Roadrunners now own a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Snowflake for a 3A East challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Holbrook will face a Lobos squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ). The Lobos record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Monument Valley falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Chinle (Chinle, AZ) to face the Wildcats in a 3A North challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-12. Chinle lost 13-3 in their recent league challenge against Window Rock (Fort Defiance, AZ)
