Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Mac for a Sangamo challenge on Tuesday, April 5.

With the loss, Lincolnwood falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Lancers host Edinburg/South Fork (Kincaid, IL) to battle the Wildcats in a MSM challenge on Monday, April 4. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-0.
