Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL) and the visiting New Athens Yellow Jackets (New Athens, IL), witnessed Waterloo's softball squad tip New Athens by a count of 6-3.

The Bulldogs now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Freeburg for a non-league match on Monday, April 4. Waterloo will face a Midgets squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Nashville (Nashville, IL). The Midgets record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, New Athens moves to 1-4 on the season. The Yellow jackets travel to Dupo (Dupo, IL) to face the Tigers in a Cahokia - Kaskaskia match on Tuesday, April 5. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 2-3. Dupo lost 7-2 in their recent league match against Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL)
