The crowd at Tuesday's league game between the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) and the visiting Garnet Valley Jaguars (Glen Mills, PA), saw Springfield's lacrosse team nudge Garnet Valley by a final score of 10-9.
The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA). The Royals enter the Central game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Upper Darby was tipped by Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA), 11-1, in a non-league game.
The Jaguars (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA). The Fightin' Tigers enter the Central game with a 3-1 record.
Game Summary
The Cougars outlast a fiery Garnet Valley team that did not go down easy. The Cougars were led by Sophomore Brad Barber who found the back of the net 4 times tonight. Three of those goals were assisted by outstanding Drexel commit Tyler Gougler, who also netted one of his own. On the defensive end the Juniors, Billy Henderson (PSU) and Brian Delaney (Lehigh) had outstanding games helping goalie Jackson Kennedy.
