Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL), 13-9 in a league challenge.

The Thunderbolts now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lyons for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Andrew will face a Lions squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Sandburg (Orland Park, IL). The Lions record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Homewood-Flossmoor falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL) to face the Knights in a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Monday, April 8. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 5-2.
