St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Beau Chene Gators (Arnaudville, LA), 9-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 25-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 3. St. Thomas More will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Cecilia (Cecilia, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 14-8.

With the loss, Beau Chene falls to 14-9 on the campaign. The Gators host North Vermilion (Maurice, LA) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 19-7.
