The Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) softball nipped the visiting Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA), 4-3 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Lions (12-7) will now prepare for their bout against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA). The Buccaneers go into the 5A District 3 bout with a 13-16 record. In their last bout, Barbe held off Carencro (Lafayette, LA), 21-0, in a league bout.
The Golden Tors now possess a 19-9 record. They play next when they travel to Sam Houston for a 5A District 3 bout on Thursday, April 4. Sulphur will confront a Broncos squad coming off a 22-4 non-league win over DeRidder (DeRidder, LA). The Broncos record now stands at 15-11.
