California High School Baseball - La Costa Canyon defeats Cathedral Catholic

In Wednesday's non-league game, the host La Costa Canyon Mavericks baseball team scored a close 8-1 victory over the Cathedral Catholic Dons.
The Mavericks (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Point Loma (San Diego, CA). The Pointers enter the non-league game with a 9-2 record. In their last game, Point Loma held off Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA), 5-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Dons face the Rancho Bernardo Broncos (San Diego, CA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 3. Cathedral Catholic will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Broncos enter the game with a 5-6 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA).
