The St. Stephens Indians baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting East Burke Cavaliers to 3 in the Indians non-league win on Wednesday.

The Indians now hold a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Statesville for a Western Foothills 3A test on Friday, April 4. St. Stephens will play a Greyhounds team coming off a 21-0 league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, East Burke drops to 8-6 on the year. The Cavaliers host Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC) to play the Bears in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test on Friday, April 4. The Bears go into the test with a record of 8-7. Bunker Hill lost 2-0 in their recent league test against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)
