In Wednesday's non-league bout, the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 11-0.
The Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Eldorado knocked off Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 12-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Cougars play the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 7. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Rams go into the game with a 8-1 record after their 16-6 non-league win over Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
