Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) backers exited the stadium satisfied Wednesday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting Mar Vista Mariners (Imperial Beach, CA), 12-11 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Monte Vista improves its record to 4-6 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to play the Foothillers in a Grossmont game on Thursday, April 3. The Foothillers come into the game with a record of 0-6. Grossmont lost 18-6 in their recent league game against Helix (La Mesa, CA)

The Mariners now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hilltop for a Metro South Bay game on Tuesday, April 8.
