New York High School Softball - Maple Hill held off by Guilderland

In Wednesday's non-league test, the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen (Guilderland Center, NY) softball squad got by the host Maple Hill Wildcats (Castleton on Hudson, NY), by a tally of 5-4.
Next, the Flying Dutchmen clash with the Bethlehem Central Eagles (Delmar, NY) in a Section 2 Suburban - Blue test, on Monday, April 7. Guilderland will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 11-6 league loss to Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY).
The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Rensselaer (Rensselaer, NY). The Rams go into the Section 2 Patroon test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Rensselaer was nudged by Chatham (Chatham, NY), 12-0, in a league test.
