South Davidson Wildcats (Denton, NC) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), 17-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, South Davidson improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to West Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Dragons in a Central Carolina 1A/2A game on Friday, April 4. The Dragons enter the game with a record of 8-6. West Davidson lost 6-2 in their recent non-league game against North Davidson (Lexington, NC)

The Bison now hold a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Rockingham County for a Mid-State 3A game on Tuesday, April 8. High Point Central will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 10-0 league win over Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 13-1.
