In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Mooresville Blue Devils softball team scored a tight 10-3 win over the North Iredell Raiders.
The Blue Devils (7-6) will now prepare for their match against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wildcats come into the Greater Metro 4A match with a 6-7 record. In their last match, Lake Norman was routed by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 1-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Raiders battle the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A match, on Friday, April 4. North Iredell will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the match with a 7-5 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to South Iredell (Statesville, NC).
