In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Perquimans Pirates softball team scored a tight 7-4 win over the South Central Falcons.
The Pirates (9-1) will now prepare for their match against Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC). The Bears come into the non-league match with a 10-2 record. In their last match, Bear Grass Charter was routed by Washington (Washington, NC), 1-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the D.H. Conley Vikings (Greenville, NC) in a Big East 3A/4A match, on Friday, April 4. South Central will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Vikings come into the match with a 8-3 record after their 3-0 league win over New Bern (New Bern, NC).
