The Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) baseball overwhelmed the visiting El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), 16-4 in Thursday's non-league bout.

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Montgomery Aztecs (San Diego, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 7. Steele Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Aztecs come into the contest with a 7-7 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA).

The Vaqueros now possess a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valhalla for a Grossmont Hills contest on Wednesday, April 8. El Capitan will confront a Norsemen squad coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Mountain Empire (Pine Valley, CA). The Norsemen record now stands at 1-12.
