The Central Davidson Spartans baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Wheatmore Warriors to 6 in the Spartans non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Spartans (8-8) will now prepare for their match against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights go into the Mid-Piedmont 3A match with a 7-9 record. In their last match, North Davidson was overwhelmed by Reagan (Pfafftown, NC), 3-1, in a non-league match.
The Warriors (6-12) will now prepare for their match against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC). The Eagles go into the Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A match with a 3-12 record. In their last match, Uwharrie Charter was overwhelmed by Wheatmore (Trinity, NC), 5-3, in a league match.
