In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Howland Tigers (Warren, OH) softball team overwhelmed the host Salem Quakers (Salem, OH), by a margin of 17-4.

With the triumph, Howland moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Tigers travel to Struthers (Struthers, OH) to play the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 23. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 0-2.

In their next game, the Quakers play the Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 21. Salem will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
