The Copper Canyon Aztecs softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Alhambra Lions to 13 in the Aztecs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Copper Canyon moves its record to 4-14 on the year. The Aztecs host Westview (Avondale, AZ) to clash with the Knights in a 6A Southwest game on Thursday, April 21. The Knights come into the game with a record of 0-16. Westview lost 27-2 in their recent non-league game against Kofa (Yuma, AZ)

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Maryvale Panthers (Phoenix, AZ) in a 6A Metro game, on Friday, April 22. Alhambra will attempt to move on its 6-15 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 4-14 record after their 19-1 non-league loss to Skyline (Mesa, AZ).
