In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Atkins Camels softball team scored a nice 11-1 win over the Carver Yellowjackets.

Next up, the Camels meet the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) in a Mid-State 3A battle, on Friday, April 22. Atkins will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Cougars go into the battle with a 16-2 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Reidsville (Reidsville, NC).

The Yellowjackets now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Leadership Academy for a Northwest Piedmont 1A battle on Tuesday, April 26.
