In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) softball team overwhelmed the host Hardin County Cougars (Elizabethtown, IL), by a margin of 12-0.
With the triumph, Fairfield moves its record to 9-8 on the year. The Mules travel to Edwards County (Albion, IL) to play the Lions in a Black Diamond East contest on Thursday, April 21.
