The Gilbert Tigers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Ironwood Eagles to 7 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Gilbert improves its record to 19-5 on the year. The Tigers travel to Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ) to clash with the Colts in a 5A San Tan game on Monday, April 25. The Colts come into the game with a record of 12-15. Casteel won 5-2 in their recent league game against Higley (Gilbert, AZ)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ) in a 5A Northwest game, on Thursday, April 21. Ironwood will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Coyotes come into the game with a 19-7 record after their 20-10 non-league win over Central (Phoenix, AZ).
