The Howland Tigers (Warren, OH) softball routed the host Salem Quakers (Salem, OH), 14-6 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Geneva (Geneva, OH). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Geneva was routed by Edgewood (Ashtabula, OH), 5-4, in a league bout.

Ariana Wilkinson showed timely hitting on Wednesday, driving in four on two hits to lead Howland Tigers past Salem 14-6 on Wednesday. Wilkinson drove in runs on a single in the second and a double in the third.
An early lead helped propel Howland Tigers to victory. Howland Tigers scored on a single by Jennifer Sindledecker, a single by Wilkinson, and a double by Zoe King in the second inning.
Howland Tigers pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Sindledecker singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Wilkinson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, and King doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
