In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Olympic Trojans softball team scored a close 26-25 win over the Mallard Creek Mavericks.

Coming up next, the Trojans encounter the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) in a So Meck 4A outing, on Friday, April 22. Olympic will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Sabres enter the outing with a 10-1 record after their 15-0 league win over Berry (Charlotte, NC).

The Mavericks (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies enter the Queen City 3A/4A outing with a 15-2 record. In their last outing, Hough tipped North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC), 16-0, in a league outing.
