Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Big Blacks now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Marys for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. Point Pleasant will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 10-1 league win over Magnolia (New Martinsville, WV). The Blue Devils record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Scott falls to 14-7 on the campaign. The Skyhawks travel to Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 12-10. Wyoming East lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV)
