Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Garnet Valley Jaguars (Glen Mills, PA), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Marple Newtown upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Fightin' Tigers host Radnor (Radnor, PA) to battle the Raptors in a Central test on Friday, April 21. The Raptors come into the test with a record of 3-3. Radnor won 7-5 in their recent league test against Conestoga (Berwyn, PA)

With the defeat, Garnet Valley falls to 2-7 on the season. The Jaguars host Penncrest (Media, PA) to battle the Lions in a Central test on Monday, April 24. The Lions come into the test with a record of 4-5. Penncrest won 7-2 in their recent league test against Haverford (Havertown, PA)
