Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host St. Johns Redskins (St. Johns, AZ), 17-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Safford upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Bulldogs host Florence (Florence, AZ) to battle the Gophers in a non-league test on Friday, April 21. The Gophers come into the test with a record of 16-7. Florence won 11-3 in their recent non-league test against Mogollon (Heber, AZ)

With the defeat, St. Johns falls to 8-11 on the season. The Redskins travel to Duncan (Duncan, AZ) to battle the Wildkats in a non-league test on Saturday, April 22. The Wildkats come into the test with a record of 9-12. Duncan lost 12-11 in their recent non-league test against Mogollon (Heber, AZ)
