Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA), 4-3 in a league challenge.

Next, the Bruins confront the Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Tuesday, April 25. Western Branch will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 4-0 league win over Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA).

The Tigers now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to King's Fork for a Southeastern challenge on Friday, April 21. Oscar Smith will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.
