In Thursday's non-league contest, the Port Charlotte Pirates (Port Charlotte, FL) softball team held off the visiting Bonita Springs Bullsharks (Bonita Springs, FL), by a tally of 1-0.
Coming up next, the Pirates battle the DeSoto County Bulldogs (Arcadia, FL) in a 4A District 11 outing, on Monday, April 24. Port Charlotte will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 14-6 record after their 14-0 non-league win over Southwest Florida Christian (Fort Myers, FL).
The Bullsharks (13-8) will now prepare for their outing against Seacrest Country Day (Naples, FL). The Stingrays enter the non-league outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Seacrest Country Day was edged by Oasis (Cape Coral, FL), 23-8, in a non-league bout.
