The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the West Genesee Wildcats (Camillus, NY) and the host East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans (East Syracuse, NY), saw West Genesee's softball squad nip East Syracuse-Minoa by a count of 7-3.

The Wildcats now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fayetteville-Manlius for a Section 3 Central Counties - National match on Friday, April 21. West Genesee will face a Hornets squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Liverpool (Liverpool, NY). The Hornets record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, East Syracuse-Minoa falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Whitesboro (Marcy, NY) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, April 21. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 2-3. Whitesboro lost 11-0 in their recent league match against New Hartford (New Hartford, NY)
